1 killed in Brahmanbaria 'gunfight'

Brahmanbaria Correspondent: A suspected mugger has been killed in a gunfight with the police in Brahmanbaria's Sarail upazila early Saturday.
The deceased was identified was Rokon Mia, 45, son of Iakub Mia.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Saral police station Rupak Kumar Saha said that a team of police went to Islamabad area of Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 12:30am Saturday. Meanwhile, Rokon and his cohorts opened fire aiming police. In reply, police also opened fire which triggered a gunfight, leaving Rokon dead on the spot.
The body was sent to district Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
