1100 maunds of mangoes destroyed in Mirpur

Staff Correspondent: A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has destroyed 1100 maunds of chemically tainted mangoes, conducting a drive at a fruit wholesale (agency) market of the capital’s Mirpur on Saturday noon.

RAB executive magistrate Sarwar Alam conducted the drive. He also sentenced six people to different terms of imprisonment during the drive.

Confirming the news, executive magistrate Sarwar Alam said, “The mangoes were ripened using chemical which is dangerous to health.”
