1,142 BRTC buses for Eid special service

Senior Correspondent: A total of 1,142 buses of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will provide Eid special service during the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. 

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader made the disclosure while addressing a view exchange meeting at BRTC office in capital’s Motijheel on Sunday noon.

“We have reached in a position that we will be able to provide easier and more satisfactory journey this time,” he said. 

He also said that there will be no traffic jam on Dhaka-Chattogram highway as Kanchpur-Meghna-Gomti bridges have been opened to traffic before the Eid.

Obaidul Quader said during the Eid, 1,142 BRTC buses would be engaged in passenger transport in the inter-district. Of these, 253 new buses have been added from the Eid journey.
