1,30,000 cops to be deployed during polls

Staff Correspondent: The authorities have taken a massive plan to deploy huge numbers of law enforcers to keep control law and order situation across the country during the general election scheduled to be held on December 30.

Member of Army, Police, RAB, BGB, Ansar and village police will be deployed during polls in the country.

According to police headquarters, around 1,30,000 cops will be deployed during polls to ensure security measures across the country.

Alongside, nearly 2,5000 patrol teams will conduct mobile duties.

It was understood that top officials of police led by Inspector General of Police (IGP) held a meeting in this regard at the headquarters in the capital. They discussed about deployment of police, mobile teams and striking force. They also detected risky polling stations and took separate plans for the centres.

According to police, there are 40,226 polling stations across the country which were divided into two categories- flat land and hill track.
