14 Bangladeshis test positive for coronavirus in Singapore

Fourteen more Bangladesh nationals have tested positive for novel coronavirus in Singapore, taking the total number of infected Bangladeshi in the country to 46.

Health Ministry of Singapore confirmed the news in a press release on Friday.

It said of the confirmed Bangladeshi cases, four are workers while nine are long-term passport holders.

However, details of another Bangladesh national aged nearly 40 could not be known immediately.

He was detected positive with coronavirus on Thursday. It is believed that he was contacted with coronavirus in Mustafa Shopping Centre in Singapore. He is currently undergoing treatment at National Centre for Infectious Diseases in the country.

On the same days, a 34-year-old labourer and three other long-term passport holders aged of 34, 29 and 28 year found positive for coronavirus. They have been admitted to National Centre for Infectious and NG Teng Fong General Hospital, according to the press release.

Meanwhile, nine Bangladeshis were detected with coronavirus on friday.
