Staff Correspondent: The Awami League-led 14-party alliance will hold a mass rally in the capital’s Motijheel area on October 29 in protest against the ongoing falsehood and conspiracies by BNP-Jamaat.

Besides the capital Dhaka, the alliance will also hold mass rallies in Jashore and Chuadanga on October 25 and 26 respectively.

The decision in this regard came today following a meeting of the central 14-party alliance held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

Awami League Presidium Member, spokesperson of the 14-party alliance and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim briefed journalists after the meeting.

Speaking about the newly-floated Jatiya Oikya Front, Nasim said the main target of the people-deviated leaders is to foil the general election in the name of Jatiya Oikya Front.

“But people of the country are united under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. They (people) will not let them (Oikya Front leaders) succeed in hatching any conspiracy. The 11th parliamentary election must be held,” he added.

AL Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud, Bangladesh Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Workers Party of Bangladesh leader Anisur Rahman Mallik, Jatiya Party (JP) Presidium Member Ezaz Ahmed Mukta, Convener of Communist Center Dr Wazedul Islam Khan, Ganatantri Party leader Dr Shahadat Hossain, Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal Convener Rezaur Rashid, National Awami Party (NAP) leader Ismail Hossain and Tariqat Federation Secretary General Rezaul Haque joined the meeting, among others.
