‘18,000 teachers to be recruited soon’

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain said, there are 65,626 government primary schools across the country. There is also a shortage of teachers. So, some 18,000 teachers will be recruited soon.

The minister made the disclosure after visiting several centers of Primary and Ebtedayee examinations at Dhaka’s Keraniganj on Thursday.

Zakir Hossain said that there is no need to get GPA-5 forcing our children. Moral strength of students will be increased through the examinations.

He also said, control rooms have been opened across the country to monitor overall examination situations. No untoward incidents are reported yet.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Amit Debnath, Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (land) Kamrul Hasan, Dhaka Divisional primary education deputy director Iftekhar Hossain Bhuiyan and others attended the function.
