1st flag statue inaugurated in Munshiganj

Munshiganj Correspondent: The first flag statue of the country has been inaugurated in Munshiganj.

The statue 'flag '71' was set up at Lichutola of the district town. Several hundreds of Freedom Fighters of the District Freedom Fighting Command Council officially inaugurated it on Friday afternoon.

Earlier around 3:00pm on the day, a colourful rally was brought out on the opening ceremony of the statue. The rally ended at the premises of the statue after marching the town.

Some 71 Freedom Fighters opened the statue after they freed 71 pigeons.

Local lawmaker, deputy commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP) in Munshiganj among others attended the programme.
