2 cops suspended over DU student assault

Staff Correspondent: Authorities suspended the responsible two police constables over Saturday’s assault on Dhaka University student.
The suspended cops are –Constable Md Saifullah and Constable Mamun.
Confirming the matter, Abul Hasan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shahbagh Police Station on Sunday said the two policemen have been suspended and legal action will be taken against them.
Juwel Rana, second-year student of Oceanography Department, Kamrul Hasan, a student of Mathematics Dept. and Khaza Irfanul Haque, a student of Physics Department, were allegedly beaten by the two policemen on their way to university campus on Saturday night. Meanwhile, the two cops recorded the video footage of the three students.
