2 cousins die in Sylhet

Staff Correspondent, Sylhet: Two cousins died when a boat capsized during catching fish in Garuni Beel, a water body in Fenchuganj upazila, on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Reaz Ahmed (24), son of Abdul Matin, and his cousin Shihan Uddin (27).

Officer in-Charge (OC) of Fenchuganj Nazmul Huq said Reaz, Shihan and some young boys went out for catching fish by boat at night.

At one stage, the boat carrying them sank in the water body due to strong wind.

All but Reaz and Shihan managed to swim ashore while the duo remained missing.

Later, the local people recovered the bodies of the two young men.
