2 held with bomb making materials in Cox's Bazar

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) held two persons with bomb making materials from Khuru School area of the district town on Tuesday noon.

The materials are enough for making at least 78 pipe bombs, RAB claimed.

The detainees are Karim Ullah, 40, son of late Nurul Islam of Muhuriparha of Cox's Bazar Government College area, and Mohammad Ramij, 42, son of late Jafor Hossain of Rumaliarchhora of the town.

RAB-7 company commander Lt. Col. Ashekur Rahman said in a press briefing that, acting on a tip off, law enforcers held the two persons with two sacks of bomb making materials from the area.

The detainees might be members of any outlawed Rohingya outfit, he added.
