2 to walk gallows for killing FF in Narsindi

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court awarded death penalty to two people and another to life term imprisonment for their involvement in killing of a freedom fighter Abdul Hai.

Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-3 Judge Monir Kamal passed the order on Tuesday. 

The convicts are- Jakir Hossain, step brother of Abdul Hai and Amzad Hossain.

The court also fined them Tk20,000 each, in default of which they will have to serve six months more jail.

According to the case statement, following a land dispute, the accused attacked Abdul Hai at Birajnagar village in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi on March 26, 2016, leaving him critically injured. Later, the victim was sent to Shibpur Upazila Health Complex where he died under treatment.
