2,123 killed in road crashes in 4 months

Staff Correspondent: At least 2,123 people were killed and 5,558 injured in 1,871 road accidents in last four months across the country.

A report by Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity on Monday revealed the condition of road accidents in the country.

The report was made from the data of several news reports of national and regional newspapers and online news portals.

According to the statistics, 1,871 road accidents took place from January 1 to April 30. A total of 1,917 people were killed and 5,558 injured in those accidents. And 206 people died under treatment, according to the information from six divisional hospitals.

In the press conference, the organization also placed some recommendations to prevent road accidents.
