3 Jamaat leaders held with patrol bombs in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent: The law enforcers detained three Jamaat leaders from Tempu stand area of Rajbari field in Gazipur town.

The detainees are- Gazipur metropolitan Jamaat Secretary Muhammad Hossain Ali, 40, Faridpur district Jamaat Secretary Muhammad Badruddin, 50 and Faridpur city college unit Jamaat secretary Muhammad Wahab Ali, 42.

Police Super Md Harun-ar-Rashid made the disclosure in a press release at Gazipur police super office on Sunday noon.

He said that acting on a tip-off, Gazipur Counter Terrorism Unit conducted a special drive in the area around 6:30om on Saturday and detained the Jamaat leaders.

Meanwhile, the law enforcers seized 11 patrol bombs, five cocktails and Jihadi books from the spot.
