‘3 bridges including Meghna to be opened before Eid’

Special Correspondent: Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said 2nd Kanchpur, Meghna and Gumti bridges will be opened to traffic before the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

“Public suffering will come down significantly and traffic jam will also reduce during the Eid once the three bridges are opened,” he said while briefing reporters following a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase on Wednesday.

He said the construction works on the three bridges have been completed and those are now ready for vehicle movement.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is also eagerly looking forward to opening these bridges before the Eid-ul-Fitr," he told the journalists.
