3 held for capturing college girl's nude video

Rajbari Correspondent: Law enforcers detained three youths for their alleged involvement in capturing nude video clips of a college girl in mobile phone and threatening to spread the video through internet in Baliakandi upazila of Rajbari.

They three youths were detained conducting special drives in different places of the upazila on Monday night.

The detainees are Shawon Mandal, 19, son of Md Rezaul Mandal of Bauni Bongram area in Sadar union; Sajib Mandal, 21, son of Amin Mandal of Paikkandi village and Faruk Ahmed, 22, son of Md Lal Mia of Dholjani village.

Confirming the matter, Additional Police Super Md Royce Uddin, also the captain of CPC-2, Faridpur Camp of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-8, said Shawon Mandal developed a fake love affair with a college girl of Baliakandi upazila and captured video clips of intimate moments in secret. Later, Shawon and his two friends-- Sajib Mandal and Faruk Ahmed demanded money several times from the girl threatening to spread the video through internet.

Being aware about the issue, victim's family filed a General Diary (GD) with Baliakandi Police Station and sought help from RAB Faridpur Camp, Royce Uddin said.

Following this, RAB conducted a special drive in different places of the upazila on Monday night and detained them, he said.

RAB, meanwhile, recovered the video clips from their phone, he added.

Royce Uddin said the detainees have been handed over to the Baliakandi Police Station.
