3 held with 1.20 lakh Yaba pills in Ctg

Staff Correspondent: Detectives detained three drug peddlers with 1.20 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets from a covered van in Baklia thana area of the port city on Monday.

The detainees are- Mamun Bepari, 33, Shahjahan, 32 and Anwar, 22.

Chittagong Metropolitan DB (port) Deputy Police Commissioner Mohammad Shahidullah told risingbd.com that police stopped a covered van this morning but, the driver and two others tried to flee the scene. Meanwhile, the law enforcers recovered the huge number of Yaba tablets from the vehicle.

A case was filed with Baklia police station in this regard.
