Chandpur Correspondent: At least three people were killed and two others injured as a covered van hit an auto-rickshaw on Chandpur-Cumilla road near Bakila Bazar in Hajiganj upazila of the district early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Abu Sufian, 40, Elem Hossain, 45 and his son Ekram Hossain, 22.
Confirming the matter, Hajiganj police station OC Alamgir Hossain said Chandpur-bound the auto-rickshaw collided with a covered van in the area early Monday, leaving the three people dead on the spot and two others critically injured.
The injured were sent to Chandpur General Hospital.
