3 killed in Gazipur road accident

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw carrying passengers on Mirerbazar Vogra bypass road at Pubail in the city on Wednesday, leaving three people dead and two others injured.

One of the deceased was identified as Shukur Ali, the driver of the auto-rickshaw and son of Majid Mia hailing from Kazirteck area in the city. Two other deceased could not be identified yet.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Naojor Highway Police Camp Ohiduzzaman said the truck collided with the Chourasta-bound auto-rickshaw around 12:30 pm, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were admitted to Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital.
