3 killed while cutting hill in Ctg

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Three people were killed as a portion of a hill collapsed while they were cutting the hill in Dakkshin Rajanagar union under Rangunia upazila of Chittagong on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Akib, 9, Didar, 25 and Amir Ali, 40.

Confirming the incident to risingbd.com, Md Kamal Hossain, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Rangunia, said the three people were excavating mud at noon. At that time the hills collapsed on them and they were buried under the soil and died.

Their bodies were recovered around 3:00pm, he said.
