4 women drown in Morelganj trawler capsize

Bagerhat Correspondent: At least four women drowned as a trawler capsized in the Panguchi River in the district’s Morelganj upazila on Tuesday morning.
The trawler sank in the river around 10:00 am as it was carrying many passengers.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Morelganj Police Station Md Rashedul Alam confirmed the matter.
Members of Fire Service are conducting rescue operation, he said.
The number of missing people is 16. The identities of the deceased could not yet be known.
