Staff Correspondent: Members of customs intelligence seized 3.5 kilograms of gold at ShahJalal International Airport in Dhaka on Sunday.
Dr Moinul Khan, Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (DCII) told risingbd.com that the law enforcers detained a man named Belal Hossain with the gold.
The gold smuggler landed at the airport with a microwave. Meanwhile, custom officials stopped him and found the gold checking the microwave.
The market value of the gold pieces is Tk 1.70 crore, he added.
