Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A fire gutted around 30 houses in Markun Parchimpara of Tongi on Monday midnight.
According to sources, some people set fire to save themselves from cold, and it spread to some other small makeshift houses one after another.
Being informed, three fire fighting units went to the spot and doused the flame with an effort of two hours.
