30 out of 35 absent at Rangpur health complex

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: Rangpur divisional director (Health) found that 30 out of 35 nurses, health officials and employees including doctors of 50-bed upazila health complex supposed to be at the health complex were absent.

Rangpur Divisional Director (Health) Dr Amal Chandra Saha found them absent after paying a surprise visit to the health complex in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur district at 8:15am on Monday.

“I made a surprise visit to the health complex at 8:15am and found most of the employees including doctors absent there. I instructed the civil surgeons to take necessary action in this regard,” Saha said.

Confirming the matter, Dr Hirambo Kumar Roy, health and family planning officer at the health complex, said, “A show cause notice will be served from the health division to those who were absent.”
