16,286 pass 38th BCS preliminary tests

Staff Correspondent: The results of the 38th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary examinations have been published.

A total of 16,286 candidates have passed the preliminary test who will take part in the written part of the examination.

The date for the written examinations will be announced later, according to a source at the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).

A total of 3,46,440 candidates filed applications for the preliminary test. Out of them, 2,88,899 candidates took part in the preliminary test held on December 29 last year.

In the immediate past exam, a total 2,43, 476 candidates contested for the cadre service, which was the highest number of applicants taking the test.

According to the BPSC, a total of 2,024 class one cadre officers will be appointed in the public administration through the 38th BCS.
