399-kilometer border areas under strict surveillance

Jashore Correspondent: The government has marked 399-kilometers with India and Myanmar border as risky area.
The authority took initiatives to launch “Border Surveillance and Response System” to ensure strict surveillance of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in those sensitive areas.
Such latest technology will be started in Bangladesh for the first time. Border Surveillance and Response System will open a new horizon on the context of border security. The new system will play an effective role to prevent smuggling and all kinds of crime in border areas.
Border Surveillance and Response System is an advanced technology, including thermal camera, video camera, radar, various machines attached with sensor and combined network communication system.
Using this technology, 24 hours surveillance can be done in border areas from command level.
Director General (DG) of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Maj Gen Shafeenul Islam on Monday visited 'Border Surveillance and Response System' set up at Putkhali border in Benapole.
