Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Police have rescued four fishermen from the grasps of sea-robbers in Batighar area of Kutubdia in Cox's Bazar on Monday.
The fishermen are- Muktadhon Das, Abu Saleh, Swapon and Liton, hailed from Chanua village of Banshkhali Upazila.
Sources said that sea-robbers abducted the fishermen when they were returning from Bay of Bengal this morning and demanded Tk50,000 ransom.
Later, on information, police conducted a drive in the area around 12:00pm and rescued them.
Meanwhile, police detained two robbers from the spot and seized two guns and five lethal weapons.
