4 held with foreign currencies in Benapole

Staff Correspondent: Customs officials have detained four people with US dollars and Indian currencies at Benapole customs checkpoint.

The seized currencies are 21 thousand and 300 US dollars and 8 lakh, 5 thousand and 500 Indian rupees.

Customs officials detained them after arriving in Bangladesh from India on Wednesday morning.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department Director General Dr. Moinul Khan confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

The arrestees are Uzzal Bepari and Barkat Ali of Shariatpur and Kabir Khan and Jaman Khan of Manikganj.
