43 detained in Satkhira special drive

Satkhira Correspondent: Police in a special drive detained 43 people, including nine activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir, from several areas in Satkhira.

The law enforcers detained them in the drive from Saturday evening to Sunday morning. Meanwhile, 100 bottles of Phensidyl and 20 pieces of Yaba tables were seized from their possession.

15 people were detained from Satkhira Sadar, six from Kalaroa, two from Tala, four from Kaliganj, eight from Shamnagar, four from Ashashuni, two from Debhata and two from Patkeghata.

Confirming the matter, Satkhira Special Branch (SB) police inspector Mizanur Rahman said that the detainees were wanted in several cases including sabotage activity, drug and others allegations.
