5 JMB men held in Naogaon

Staff Correspondent: Police detained five suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in different areas of Atrai upazila in Naogaon.

The detainees are- Kabiraj alias Rafiq, Lulu Sardar alias Mistri, Masud Rana alias Hossain alias Atik, Abdur Razzak alias Masum alias Babul, Moyazzem alias Hossain alias Bullet.

A press release issued from police headquarter confirmed the matter on Thursday.

Police said that acting on a tip-off, Counter Terrorism Unit of police conducted drives in Naoduli village of the upazila and detained the five suspected JMB militants around 4:00am.

Meanwhile, the law enforcers recovered foreign-made pistol and bomb making materials from their possession.
