5 Jamaat leaders held with fire arms in Cox's Bazar

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Police detained five Jamaat leaders with fire arms from Mukbekir Godarpara area of Shaplapur union under Moheshkhali upazila in the district on Tuesday.

The detainees are- Ashraf Hossain Tipu, Hanif, Shafiul Alam, Shahidullah and Ataur Rahman.

Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge (OC) of Maheshkhali Police Station, said acting on tip-off, police conducted a drive in the area around 11:00am and detained the Jamaat leaders with four LG guns, six rounds of bullets and eight lethal weapons.

A case was filed in this regard, OC added.
