Staff Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel detained five members of a robber gang from Sadek Khan Patrol pump area in capital's Mohammadpur early Friday.
The detainees are - Sajal Chowdhury, Aktar Hossain, Masud Sardar, Abul Hossain and Shahid Bepary.
RAB 2 operation officer Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Firoz Kauser confirmed the matter to media this noon.
"The detainees confessed that they are members of a robber gang. Dividing into small groups, they snatch valuables from city dwellers at day light," he added.
