Staff Correspondent: Miscreants stormed a residence at Shanir Akhra Gobindapur Nur Masjid area under Jatrabari thana in city at 8:30 Saturday and fired at a family members of the house leaving five injured.
The injured are- Hafizul Islam, 24, his niece Abida, 5, nephew Junayed, 4, sister-in-law Sathi, 20 and one Jahidul Islam Enayet, 24.
Abdullah, elder brother of Hafizul said, the family members were having their dinner at second floor of three-storied building on Saturday night. Meanwhile, a miscreant opened fire from a shotgun aiming the family members and fled the scene.
The bullet injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police station outpost in-charge, Sub-Inspector (SI) Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.
