5 sacks of coins found under soil of grocery!

Five sacks of different types of coins have been found under the ground of grocery shop at Harinathpur Bazar under Kazipur upazila in Sirajganj.

AKM Lutfor Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kazipur Police Station, confirmed the news on Wednesday morning.

It was learnt that the grocery shop belongs to Mridul of Shahapara of Harinathpur village. On Tuesday, seating platform (Macha) set up in front of the shop broke down.

Mridul was digging soil to set up a new macha there. But he suddenly discovered huge cache of coins under the soil. Later, he took 5 sacks of different coins-- Tk 1, 2 and 5—took his house.

Mridul told risingbd that the coins piled up falling down for long days of his grocery business.

Kazipur OC Lutfor Rahman said, “(I) heard about the 5 sacks of coins found under the ground of a grocery. But I have yet not found any written complaint in this connection.

He, however, said to investigate into the matter.
