5 to walk gallows for killing in Manikganj

Manikganj Correspondent: A Manikganj court on Tuesday awarded five people death penalties in a case filed over the killing a woman in Manikganj.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Al Mahmud Faizul Kabir passed the order around 11:30am.
The convicts are- Ishak Bhuiyan, 40, Iman Ali, 45, Bacchu, 45, Shahidul Islam, 40 and Nannu Mia, 24.
The court also fined them Tk20,000 each.
According to the case statement, on August 9, 2010, Uma Debi Chakrabarty, mother of Manobendra Chakrabarty, was killed in robbers' attack at their house during robbery around 2am at Madhya Para village.
Later, victim's son Manobendra Chakrabarty filed a murder case with Singair police station on the following day.
