57 examiners served show cause notices

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Education Board (DEB) on Monday issued show cause notices to 57 examiners for making mistakes while evaluating scripts of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.

The examiners were asked to reply within seven working days, according to the notice.

According to the board sources, the teachers who faced show cause notices made mistakes between four to twelve. 

Board controller Tapan Kumar Sarker said those who made three errors were spared from the notices. But errors more than four are dangerous.  The matter was proved while reconsidering the scripts.

Six teachers also made mistakes while reconsidering the exam scripts. There is no need to evaluate the scripts while cross checking, but some teachers did it. Alongside, they also mistook in cross checking.
