6 killed in Khagrachari factional clash

Staff Correspondent, Chattrogram: At least six people were killed in a clash between two groups in Khagrachari sadar upazila on Saturday morning.
The shooting took place around 9.00am in Shonirbhar area. Two people were also injured in the incident.
All of the deceased were members of Prosit Bikhash group of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF).
Three of them were identified as Tapan Chakma, acting president of Pahari Chhatra Parishad (PCP), Palash Chakma, central leader of Democratic Juba Forum, and Elton Chakma.
Abdul Awal, additional superintendent of police (sadar circle), confirmed the matter.
