5 snatchers held with microbus in Tangail

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: Police detained five members of a mugger gang with a microbus from a filling station on Dhaka-Tangail highway under Mirzapur Upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The detainees are- Ariful Islam Sumon, 22, son of Altab Hossain, Awal, 26, son of Nurul Islam, Ripon Sheikh, 24, son of Farid Mia, Hasan Ali, 23, son of Abdul Majid and Shariful Islam, 25.

Sub-Inspector Badiuzzaman of Mirzapur police station said that the law enforcers detained them while they were fleeing the scene stealing the microbus. The detained five people are professional car thieves.
