65th National Film Awards: Sridevi named the best actress

Entertainment Desk: The 65th National Film Awards honoured invaluable contributions to Indian cinema for the year 2017 today (Friday).
While Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Newton’ bagged the Best Hindi Film award, late actress Sridevi was announced as the winner of the Best Actress award for her performance in ‘Mom’.
Sridevi starrer ‘Mom’ also won the National Film Award for Best Background Score. A.R. Rahman composed the music and background score for the film. Meanwhile, Rahman bagged another National Award for Best Music Director for Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’.
Sridevi shockingly passed away earlier this year at the age of 54 on February 24, 2018, in Dubai.
