7.5kg gold seized at Dhaka airport

Staff Correspondent: A Preventive Team of Dhaka Custom House seized 7.5 kilograms of gold from three passengers of a flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

The passengers are- Ibrahim, Mahsin and Rokonuzzaman.

Dhaka Customs sources said that the three passengers came to Dhaka from Bangkok via Chittagong in a fight-787 of Regent Airways on Sunday night. Later, the law enforcers seized the 74 gold bars hidden inside the handles of bags of the three passengers.

Assistant Director of Dhaka Customs Office HM Ahsanul Kabir confirmed the matter to risingbd.com on Monday.
