76 arrested in Faridpur, Yaba seized

Faridpur Correspondent: At least 76 people were arrested and 422 pieces of Yaba were seized in special anti-drug drives in Faridpur in last 24 hours till Friday morning.

Police and members of Detective Branch (DB) conducted the drives across the district.

“Of the arrestees, 10 are drug peddlers while 13 drug addicted, 12 fugitive accused in different cases, 22 GR warranted accused, 14 CR warranted and five convicted in different cases for different terms,” according to Jamal Pasha, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Faridpur.

The anti-drug drive will be continued, the ASP said.
