786 nominations annulled in EC scrutiny

Staff Correspondent: Returning Officers (RO) concerned annulled a total of 786 nomination papers during its scrutiny process before clearing candidates to contest for the 11th parliamentary election.
Now legal candidates are 2, 279 across the country. A total of 3,065 aspirants submitted nominations including party nominations and independent candidates until November 28.
The news was revealed by a press release issued by Election Commission (EC) secretariat signed by its Public Relations Officer (PRO) SM Asaduzzaman on Sunday night.
