8 injured in speedboat collision in Padma

Madaraipur Correspondent: At least eight people were injured in a collision between two speedboats in the mid-Padma River on Kawrakandi-Shimulia route at the district's Shibchar upazila on Friday.
The injured could not be identified immediately. They were admitted to Shibchar Upazila Hospital.
Abdus Salam, manager of Kawrakandi office of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), confirmed the news.
The other passengers of both speedboats managed to reach safe places after the collision, he added.
He said the accident might be happened due to dense fog.
