ACC summons Azad, Tabith, Bacchu 

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned Hamim Group Managing Director (MD) A K Azad, BNP leader Tabith Awal and former BASIC Bank chairman Sheikh Abdul Hye Bacchu for interrogation over graft charges.

Three separate letters were issued against them in this regard from ACC Headquarters on Tuesday.

Former BASIC Bank chairman Sheikh Abdul Hye Bacchu was asked to appear at ACC on May 7. He will be quizzed for the fourth time over amassing illegal wealth and unusual transaction in the bank.

BNP executive member Tabith Awal was asked to appear at ACC on May 8 while Hamim Group MD A K Azad on May 9 over graft charges.

It may be mentioned that A K Azad was summoned earlier. But he could not appear before the watchdog commission due to physical ground.
