ACC to conduct probe against FR Tower owner, 3 others

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to conduct an investigation against four people including owner of Banani’s FR Tower Engineer SMHI Faruk Hossain and Rupayan Group Chairman Liaquat Ali Khan Mukul on the charge of constructing 23-storey building illegally in place of 18-storey one violating the building code and acquiring illegal wealths.

The investigation will also be conducted against Quasem Drycell Limited Managing Director and owner of an extended portion of the FR Tower Tasveer Ul Islam and several others.

ACC Deputy Director Abu Bakar Siddique has been assigned to conduct the investigation following a decision taken from its head office on Wednesday.

ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to risingbd.
