ACC to use all the power against corrupt people

Staff Correspondent: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmud said, “We can’t sacrifice our next generation’s future for some corrupt people. The Commission will use all the power against the corrupt people in collaboration with everyone.”
The ACC boss made the comment while speaking at a signing ceremony with goodwill ambassador all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan at the ACC’s office at Segun Bagicha in Dhaka on Sunday.
The ACC chairman said, “All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is a pride of our country. Shakib is the best in the world today with his talent, dedication and genuine efforts. If teenagers and young people of our country try to follow him, they too can be successful in their respective fields.”
“Corruption is the biggest problem in our country. To overcome this problem, we must put all the power against corruption. If corruption can be prevented, the country will be developed, people's quality of life will improve, and hunger and poverty-free society will be built,” he said.
The ACC boss said, “The source of all the energy of the society is youth society. If the youth community takes a firm stand against corruption like Shakib Al Hasan, there will be no corruption in the society.”
After becoming ACC goodwill ambassador, Shakib Al Hasan said, “I am proud to be able to work with an organization like the Anti-Corruption Commission. If a person is benefited by my efforts ending the corruption, then I will feel successful.”
He said “From today, I started the new journey to build a corruption-free country. We will work jointly for the development of the country without corruption.”
Earlier, the ACC Chairman offered flowers to Shakib when he arrived at the Commission office.
ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmud presided over the ceremony while ACC secretary Dr Shamsul Arefin and commissioner AFM Aminul Islam spoke.
