‘ACC will take action against AL corrupt leaders’

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Obaidul Quader said the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will take action against the AL leaders and the leaders of its associate bodies if they are involved in any corruption.

Quader, also the transport and bridges minister, made the comment while talking to reporters after a meeting of party’s presidium members at party chief Sheikh Hasina's political office at Dhanmondi in Dhaka on Wednesday.

“Awami League has a political concern to take actions against those who get involved in misdeeds. So, those who get involved in irregularity and corruption must face punishment. The ACC has been asked to take actions against the AL leaders and the leaders of its associate bodies if they are involved in any corruption,” he said.
