ADB President due in Dhaka Feb 27

Staff Correspondent: Takehiko Nakao, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on February 27 for a two-day visit.
Gobinda Bar, senior external relations officer of ADB and the spokesperson of its Dhaka office, confirmed the news to risingbd.
He said, "During the visit, Nakao will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, and several other ministers and senior officials."
"He will leave Dhaka on the evening of February 28," according to Gobinda Bar.
The ADB President will also visit selected ADB-assisted projects in the power, education, urban infrastructure and rail transport sectors in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh joined ADB in 1973 and it became the first ADB member to host a field office in 1982.
Till date, more than $20 billion from ADB's loans, grants, and technical assistance have been approved for the country. Approved non-sovereign loans, equity investments and guarantees have totaled $985.28 million.
