AL factional clash leaves one dead in Faridpur

Faridpur Correspondent:  A man was killed during a clash between two groups of Awami League at Krishnapur Bazar under Faridpur Sadar upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mannan Sikdar, son of Mohammad Ali at Radhanagar village under Krishnapur union.

According to locals, a clash ensued between the followers of Chairman Billal Fokir and Akhtaruzzaman over the lease of a market on Sunday afternoon. Both the feuding groups used sticks during the clash. At least 20 shops and several houses near market were attacked and vandalized.

On Monday morning, the two groups locked into clash again, leaving one dead on the spot.
