AL launches coronavirus awareness programme

Awami League (AL) will distribute leaflets aimed at creating awareness among people across the country in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.

As part of the move, AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday (March 13) started the awareness programme distributing handbills and leaflets among the leaders and activists of Dhaka Mohanagar and other associate bodies at AL president’s Dhanmondi political office in the capital.

Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said, “We have taken a decision to distribute handbills and leaflets across the country as part of precautionary measures so that no one can be affected by coronavirus. Today, we started distributing those materials to Dhaka Mohanagar and other associate bodies.”

“We are also sending those handbills at district level and like to take this campaign till the grassroots level in order to create public awareness against coronavirus,” he added.
